This is the kick-off meeting that we hold at the very beginning of a project, once the client has committed and paid the initial deposit.
The meeting is held online using GOTOMeeting so that all participants can speak and screen-share.
We’ll answer any questions the client has at this time. We will also request a number of items. What we need to cover will vary from project to project, but the sorts of things we might need at this point may include:
- Logo file
- Strap Line
- Images for site
- Photos of the business owner(s)
- Client’s ideas for the hero graphic where it is included
- Video links to videos on Youtube (public or unlisted)
- Discuss categories
- Discuss colours
- Supply membership of any professional organisations
- Full business address
- Name of main site contact
- Phone number for site
- Images for Google My Business including one of the premises (internal or external) if required
- Opening times and days
- Email address for site contact
- Some real (new) reviews from clients
- Year business started trading
- Legal business name/entity
- Required up-front content (about us, service descriptions)
- Client’s ideas for ethical bribes for site visitors
- Any site URLs that the client particularly likes.
- URL, administrator level username and password of any existing WordPress site
- URL, username and password of the hosting account – where the existing site is hosted
- URL, username and password of the registrar account – where the domain was purchased
- URL, username and password of the mail server account – if you are hosting email elsewhere
- URL, username and password of Amazon account – if you hosting images and or videos on Amazon S3
- URL, username and password of Google account – for Google Analytics, Google Search Center and YouTube
- URL, username and password of Facebook account – if we arerequired to set up a Facebook page for your business
- URL, username and password of Twitter account – if we are required to set up your Twitter page for your business
- URL, username and password of Aweber account – if we are required to set up sign up forms or autoresponder sequences
